Exercise Of The Week : Shin Box
How Does It Help? It is a drill to help open up your hips. More specifically, internal/external rotation, which can help increase your overall range of motion. It is important to note however if you have troubles with the hips, you may want to get checked out by a qualified physical therapist before forcing end range motions.
As noted in the video, you may have a hard time with this drill at first. If that is the case, support yourself with your hands until you get more comfortable and proficient which then you can take away your hands.
