The 30 Minute Get Fit For Summer Workout

It’s officially summer time! We had had a brutal spring up here in NH and I am excited that I can finally spend some time outdoors.

Anyhow, if you are looking to strut your stuff at the beach this summer, I have you covered with a series of workouts that are geared to burn a ton of calories, blast fat, and have you looking good naked.

Each week, I will be posting a workout on Wednesday to help you crush some calories and blast fat fast.

Seriously, I just did this workout and it crushed me.

But, these workouts will not be just your run of the mill workout you can get from anywhere.  Every workout is geared to maximize your time in the gym and kick your metabolism into overdrive. You are going to have to work hard, dig deep and challenge yourself to see results.

Workout # 1- The Gauntlet of Fire

The first workout in my summer series is a killer. You will need access to battle ropes, kettlebells, dumbells, a TRX, and a medicine ball.  Prepare to bring your energy and motivation because this ten exercise circuit will be sure to leave your body confused.

We are going to hit every major muscle group and get that heart rate up there, so you want to select a lighter weight than you normally would for heavier reps. I chose a 20kg kettlebell and a pair of 30-pound dumbells.

The Workout 

Once you have everything set up, grab yourself a timer and set the intervals for 30 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest. You will perform each exercise for 30 seconds and rest 15 seconds between each move. At the end of your first group of 10 exercises, you will rest 90 seconds and repeat for two more rounds.
