5 Tips For Creating The Perfect Day

I just got home from San Diego  after attending the Fitness Business Summit 2017.

There were over 1000 fitness professionals looking to build a better business. I had a chance to meet some great people and it reminded me that life is short.

One of the most important take always for me was a presentation put on by Craig Ballantyne . He shared with us 5 ways to create the perfect day and tips to help you get the life you have always wanted.

5 Tips For Creating The Perfect Day

  1. Go to bed at the same time and wake up early every day

Craig studied some of the most successful people in the world and what he noticed was that these people went to bed at the same time every day and woke up early at the same time every day.

Benjamin Franklin said ‘ Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”

Regardless of your day, very few people establish a routine that allows them to excel in life.  If successful people have been setting a routine for years, why couldn’t you?

      2.  Give yourself at least fifteen minutes when you wake up to focus on your number one priority in life

Some of you might be asking what does that even mean?

Craig talked about creating a morning routine that allows you to cleanse, get grounded, and kick start the day.

My morning routine consist of  a shower, cup of espresso, and writing for five minutes in my gratitude journal. These things keep me grounded and focused for the day which allow me to work on things that matter.

One of the coolest things about the human mind is the ability to choose what to focus on. No matter where you are in life, your focus can be shifted to something positive.

When you wake up in the morning, try not to create any distractions and be present in the moment. Find a routine that allows you to create clarity, focus, and drive so that you live with a purpose.

3. Work On Your Health

How you do one thing is how you will do everything.

If you are struggling with finding time for the gym or getting back into a routine, hire a professional to help you get back on the track. If you can’t find time to take care of yourself, it is probably safe to assume that other areas of your life are struggling.

4. Spend time on your number one wealth bringing activity six days a week

Do you constantly complain about your life? If so, think about how you spend your time throughout the day and week.

Are you truly spending time on the things that are going to help you create more wealth? Take some time to reflect upon what your days  look like and figure out a way to see if you can be a little more productive .

Another cool thing you can do upon waking up is starting daily affirmations. Every time you write something positive down you prime the brain to start building this belief in your mind.

5. Get rid of all distractions

Smartphones give us instant gratification and everything we need at the touch of our fingertips. This makes it very easy for us to fall off track of our purpose.

Do you really need to check that email first thing in the morning?

What is truly holding you back from getting what you want? Spend some time to  think about this and see what things you can start to eliminate from your life that are preventing you from getting what you want.

This weekend was an eye opener for me and I truly hope that these five things help you find your path.
